The 2003 RVTEC Meeting will be hosted at the Bear Room which is on the top floor of the USCG Museum building (red roof) located at the USCG base on the downtown Seattle Water front (Pier 36, 1519 Alaskan Way S, (click here for aerial photo).  Entry onto the base is through the main gate security located at 14 S. Massachusetts St. which is one block south of the Bear room.  A list of REGISTERED RVTEC participants will be provided to security.  If you are not on the list, you will not be allowed onto the base.  SO PLEASE REGISTER.  Also, make sure you have a photo ID.

 

The USCG base is about 1/2 mile from the Pioneer Square Best Western (77 Yesler Way).  Parking at the USCG base is limited to street parking (indicated by blue on the aerial photo).  Enter the base on foot (indicated by green on the aerial photo) through the main gate security.  If you plan to walk to the base from the hotel, a temporary security gate will be established on Alaskan Way South adjacent to the Bear room for entry in the mornings and after lunch.

 

The Bear Room will have two workstations available for internet browsing and email.  In addition there will be a WiFi wireless network available in the room with an internet connection.  A couple LCD projectors will be available for presentations.   A printer will also be set up.

 

Pop machines are located on the pier opposite to the Bear Room.
